Traditional Vienna coffee house culture and its unique atmosphere is a synonym for warmth and cosiness the world over. Our slogan “Home in Vienna” reflects our roots in this great tradition, which is now a UNESCO intangible cultural heritage. We are an Austrian family business and opened our first coffee shop in Vienna in 1999; coffee house culture is a firm part of our identity. The Coffeeshop Company perfectly combines modern coffee shop needs and traditional Viennese coffee house standards. Convenience in a young and dynamic context meets the excellent service and relaxing atmosphere of the Viennese coffee house.
Alexander Sсhärf founded the company “Sсhärf” in 1954 in Vienna, which has been producing and selling the best professional coffee equipment for more than 60 years: coffee machines, grinders and accessories. A little later a new direction was started: roasting coffee of the traditional Austrian taste. Alexander was one of the leading developers of today’s technology of making espresso in coffee machines. Until today, experts declare him a recognized expert of coffee and one of the founders of modern coffee culture.
Reinhold Schärf is Alexander’s son, he had been continuing the development of family business and had found the Coffeeshop Company in Vienna. This concept was the dream of Reinhold. He implemented traditional Viennese coffee shop, perfect coffee and modern trendy lifestyle and got as a result unique atmosphere of comfort and pleasure. “The soul must be sensible”
Two things have affected my life; the first, the theme of coffee, and the other, contact with people. This connection is also the basis for successful realisations of gastronomical projects with soul and a sense of well-being.
Therefore I attach importance in my commitment to the various feelings and emotions of the people. This is ostensibly realised in our enterprise through our product, the architecturally vivid ambience and the accompanying visualisation in graphics and design; aiming to invite people to communicate with the help of coffee as a natural stimulant. In a time in which the absence of communication between people proliferates, coffeehouse or coffee shop concepts gain more and more social pedagogical meaning, inviting direct talks and exchange.
Overcoming obstacles and realising new ideas is our job.
This is formed and carried by us as human beings. We live in partnership, in a human community.
Our commitment shall be to apply our past experience in contemporary acts, to create future sustainability. This addresses every individual in our network and should also be our task concerning the future world of our children.
Thanks to all my partners,
